It was over the weekend when the first three shows of Kid Rock’s $20 Best Night Ever Tour at DTE Energy Music Theatre began pleasing rousing fans in Clarkson. All three installments were more than successful thanks to the enthusiasm of Rock’s fans, not to mention the musician’s knack for putting on raucous performances. It seems, however, that the best is still yet to come for the people of Clarkson, Michigan as there are five more concerts at the same venue on the 14th, 16th, 17th, 19th, and 20th of August and the five-time Grammy Award nominee is said to present more than music on the set concert dates.
From the very opening weekend, the concert atmosphere already brought a lot of promise to live up to its billing as the Best Night(s) Ever. A lot of opportunities have been given to the fans. One of which is the chance to be upgraded to the first and second row seats of the venue. This is, of course, with the accord that they would come early at the music theatre. After all, a lot of treat from Kid Rock will have already been waiting for them such as the musician’s car collection, as well as the chance to get on an Harley-Davidson motorcycle and have a Jim Beam airbrush tattoo. These concerts also see the return of Rock’s American Badass Beer on draft which for around $4 to $8 at DTE. Needless to say, from his first round at the DTE Energy Music Theatre with ZZ Top, Kid Rock had already given fans what they were expecting to see of the Michigan-born artist.
Rock’s $20 Best Night Ever Summer Tour is made possible by Kid Rock who took a pay cut to have all seats available for $20 only. For this, he struck a deal with Wal-Mart after hearing that Ticketmaster was including service charge for the ticket prices. The concert tour has then been included with free food by Jimmy John’s, free parking, free coffee and all merchandises sold under $20.
It has not been long since Kid Rock last took the stage with his Rebel Soul Concert Tour which was in support of his latest album of the same name. Rebel soul is his ninth studio album which is also his sixth since signing with Atlantic Records. It was released last November of 2012. With the album being described as a mix of several elements such as southern rock, blues, gospel, soul and Motown sound, it had the song Let’s Ride as the lead single. Other tracks from the album include Redneck Paradise, Detroit, Michigan and the eponymous song Rebel Soul. Midway through the year 2013, the album has sold more than 500,000 copies in the United States.
Now, Kid Rock is still in the early stages of his Best Night Ever Concert which will run until September. Aside from ZZ Top, the concert tour will also feature Uncle Kracker and Kool and the Gang for the upcoming shows.
