For some people, she might seem like this weird singer/songwriter who does not care about what others say. Some might even venture to say that she is all about breaking rules and accepted social norms, as well as making s statement. After all, who can ever forget when she went on a award-giving ceremony dressed in meat, or that time when she attended another event by making a grand entrance inside an egg? Nope, some might say, Lady Gaga is definitely not a model when it comes to forming impressionable minds. If you would like to have your daughter grow up to be a decent and modest one, Lady Gaga might not be the right model for her.
But is what we see really all of Lady Gaga?
Lady Gaga was born Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta. She was born and raised in New York where she had started her musical career as songwriter with Streamline Records. It was during her stay there that her voice captured Akon who had signed her up with the label Kon Live Distribution. Her debut album, The Fame, which was released in 2008 was both a commercial and critical success. It churned out such hits as Poker Face and Just Dance. This was followed by an equally successful album, “The Fame Monster” which was released the following year. Lady Gaga’s second album contained the popular tracks, “Telephone” and “Alejandro”. The second album paved the way for one of the most successful tours of all time, The Monster Ball.
With all of the fame that she is experiencing, it can actually be very easy for her to ignore her fans who happen to be in need of help. After all, she is a celebrity, one who is known for not someone who really gives a damn. But that is not the case with her. Just recently, Lady Gaga made the news when a father of a 17-year-old superfan posted on Facebook, the famed social networking site, how thankful he was that Lady Gaga reached out to his son at his time of need. The superfan’s name is Daniel Borowy, a student at the Perry Hall High School in Baltimore who, unfortunately, got grazed by a bullet by suspected gunman Robert Wayne Gladden Jr. Milton Borowy, Daniel’s father, confirmed that his boy received a package from Lady Gaga containing a number of items including a pair of front row tickets to her upcoming concert, T-shirts, CDs, and a personal message from the singer, among others. Daniel, who suffers from Down’s Syndrome, was really appreciative of the singer’s efforts. He has since made a full recovery from his injury.
This piece of news has definitely restored the faith of a lot of people not just in celebrities like Lady Gaga, but in the whole humanity as well, especially since the Sandy Hook experience is still fresh on the minds of many people.
Welcome the New Year with a bang by watching Lady Gaga when she performs on the 11th and 12th of January 2013 at the Rogers Arena. You can get your Lady Gaga tickets from Ticket Broker.
