If you are a 90′s, or even an 80′s kid, you would probably be aware of what the World Wrestling Federation is all about. Most probably you would know such personalities as Hulk Hogan, Randy Savage, The Undertaker, and the Ultimate Warrior, among others. These characters make up what is known as Wrestlemania.
Wrestlemania is a pay-per-view professional wrestling event typically held around March or April. Its first run was in 1985 and, since then, the WWE had produced about 28 editions. The 29th edition would be held in 2013 at East Rutherford in New Jersey. Wrestlemania is considered to be the most successful as well as the longest running professional wrestling event in the history.
With the year about to come to an end, it is not surprising that, as early as now, event organizers and the people behind professional wrestling themselves, are already laying out the plans for next year’s Wrestlemania. WWE, or the Word Wrestling Entertainment, is the primary force behind the annual Wrestlemania event.
One of the professionals wrestling stars that the world has been waiting to make a come back is Stone Cold Steve Austin. Touted as the Texas Rattlesnake, Austin is actually considered by many to have already retired from the world of professional wrestling in 2003 after suffering from a number of broken bones in such areas as the neck and the knee during the entire course of his career. However, he has made a number of appearances in WWE since then and has even hosted the reality series, “Tough Enough” just last 2011. Since the start of his career up to present, Austin can boast of 25 championship wins as well as six WWF Championship wins. Among his other wins is the 1996 King of the Right Tournament and the 1997, 1998, and the 2001 Royal Rumbles. In 2009, McMahon, Austin’s boss, inducted him in the WWE Hall of Fame.
Just recently, Steve Austin has made mention during one of his media interviews that he is well enough to make a return to the ring. Although many are skeptical about this, seeing that he has just undergone a major knee surgery, there are also those who could not wait for his return. According to Austin, should he decide to return to the ring, he wants to take on CM Punk. Of course, he is also not partial to working with John Cena and The Undertaker. However, Austin as well as majority of his fans waiting for his comeback are quite aware that there are a number of factors before such event can take place.
