After having a bad start in the ongoing National Football League Season (NFL), the Chicago Bearsbounced back and got back in the contention for a playoff berth. Having won four straight games since October 16, the Bears is currently tied for the second spot with Detroit Tigers in the National Football Conference North Division. With a 6-3 record overall, Chicago is presently the sixth seed in the NFC playoff standings. The current hot streak of their team has been a pleasant scene for loyal owners of Chicago Bears tickets. With seven more games to play, the fans would be cheering more for their team to move up in the playoff standings.

When the Bears lost to the Detroit Tigers on October 10 and moved down to a 2-3 record, they decided to pick up their play and showed their dominant side. During this streak, they have won on an average margin of 16.25 points a game. They have defeated the Minnesota Vikings at home, Tampa Bay Buccaneers on the road, Philadelphia Eagles on the road, and the Tigers at home. The home record of the Bears in Soldier Field is 4-1, tied for second in the entire league. The road record, on the other hand, is a bit spotty. With a 2-2 record, it is tied for seventh place in the league.
This current run of the Bears is possible because of their players that are having a great statistical year. Running back Matt Forte is third in total yards with 869. Forte currently has three touchdowns for the season. Placekicker Robbie Gould is tied for sixth place in total points scored with 85.
Due to his good showing during their last win, wide receiver Devin Hester was named as NFC’s special teams player of the week. In that game, he had punt returns of 82 yards which resulted to a touchdown and 29 yards that set up a field goal. This incredible play of Hester enabled his team to score 10 points in a staggering 36-second span. His touchdown extended two of his NFL records of combined kick return touchdowns and punt return scores. For the former, he currently has 17 and 14 on the latter. Hester also became NFL’s top punt returner with a 12.96-yard average. With 5,658 combined kick return yards, he also set a new franchise record.

Coinciding to their four-game winning streak are Chris Conte and Major Wright being named to the starting lineup. When defensive backs Conte and Wright became starters, the team started to pick up their game. Is this just a coincidence or a start of the two young guns’ rise in the NFL?
For owners of Chicago Bears tickets, the next home games of their team is on November 20 against San Diego Chargers, December 4 against the Kansas City Chiefs, and on December 18 against the Seattle Seahawks. For their upcoming game however, fans would not be able to see free safety Anthony Walters (knee) and offensive guard Chris Williams (wrist) due to injuries.
