Will the Dallas Cowboys Be Able to Lasso the 2012 NFL?

It is NFL season once again and many fans are already screaming their hearts out and rooting endlessly for their favorite team. One team though seem to be taking the spotlight, and not totally in a good way.

The Dallas Cowboys was once touted to be the “American Team” and has, in the past, shown resiliency even in the most dire of situations. Today, however, something has changed. Although the team is still able to have the crowd at their feet, their play is noticeably off with the ball getting dropped from moment to moment. What’s more, there seems to be very little effort on the part of the players to actually recover any lost second that they might have. It seems that the players are more concerned at pointing fingers rather than in making sure that they have got each other’s back. Although Jerry Jones believes that the team would be able to make it this year, it can be hard to believe considering how their play is going. The only way to ensure themselves of a championship is to get their act together and play as one team.

The little hope that is left for the team, however, rests on their ability to run the yard. They were able to run the able for more than 40 times. It is interesting to note, however, that they still dropped the ball, which brings us to Dex Bryant. He might have fumbled during the last game but his record is not just of fumbles and dropped balls. after all, the man was able to make more than 60 receptions in the last season and was able to run the ball for a total of 928 yards. He was also credited as being able to make 9 touchdowns for the said season.

Another glimmer of hope is the fact that Mike Jenkins and Morris Claiborne have been cleared of any structural damage in their bones – knee for Claiborne and shoulder for Jenkins. This means that the hole in the defensive backfield would not be around for long. Fans just need to hope and pray that their respective knee and shoulder would be able to handle the pressure.

Dallas Cowboys belong to the Eastern Division of the National Football Conference of the National Football League, more commonly known as the NFL. They have the Valley Ranch, which is located in Irving, Texas as their headquarters. The team was part of the 1960 NFL expansion team under the Western Division and has, to date, won 10 conference championships, 21 Division championships, and 5 league championships. Their current home field is the cowboys’ Stadium. Two other arenas, the Cotton Bowl and the Texas Stadium has also served as their home court in the past. Some of the notable rivals of the Dallas Cowboys include the Green Bay Packers, which is said to be today’s “American Team”; the Washington Redskins, the Philadelphia Eagles, the New York Giants, and the San Francisco 49ers, among others.
